Game to be played @ 20:15 CET

Today it will be played the first game of the 27th round in Czech Gambrinus liga between Sparta and Liberec. Sparta still thinking about the 1st place while guests have no longer chance to get a European Cup place.

Sparta failed in the last round to take advantage of the hesitation of their biggest rival - Plzen. They had to settle with a draw at Teplice and are now 4 points away from the leader. "We are aware of the advantage of Plzen, but Sparta has always fought until the last moment and this season will not be an exception. If we want to revive our hopes we have to win with Liberec at home" said sports manager and coach of Sparta, Jozef Chovanec.

CUP GAME to be played @ 18:30 CET

Slavia will welcome tonight Sigma Olomouc in a final struggle to get something out of this championship season.

It has to be noted that Slavia said that they will hold a press conference yesterday regarding the financial problems and the possible strategy of solving them but the conference didn't take place and raised many eyebrows regarding what will happen with Slavia afterall.

"I am, like other, concetrated at my work. I am not affected too much by the problems, but of course it is not easy. I cannot imagine what the fans have in their minds" said Slavia's coach Michael Petrous regarding the financial problems.

Game to be played @ 19:00 CET

Sparta will try in the last game of the 26th round to get closer to the leader Plzen who are at just 5 points above them in the league table making them much closer and with great chances to overcome the leaders in the next game.

For Sparta to take the three points, they will have to break a long-standing curse related with the Teplice Stadium. They have not won one game in the last ten years: "If we want the title, we should win all the remaining matches. And if we want to win now in Teplice, we have to have a perfect day, use perfect tactics and the players must have a perfect performance" said Sparta's assistant coach Martin Hasek.

In the closing match of the 24th round, Arka Gdyna will host Lechia Gdansk being clear underdogs.

Lechia Gdanks still ranks third in the league table and has a very real chance to qualify for European cups next season. To accomplish this the proteges of Thomas Kafarskiego must first consolidate the position. A week ago, they managed to break the streak of four consecutive league games without a victory, winning at home against Legia Warsaw with which a few days before they lost 0-4 in the Cup.up.

Supporters of Gdansk believe that their players will get at Gdynia the full three points.

On Sunday, Olomouc will welcome to their football pitch Slovako, a team with wich they never lost at home in the league. While Olomouc focuses on promotion in an European CUp, Slovacko are fighting for salvation.

For Olomouc players, there are two possible routes to the European Cup. Either through the league competition, or through the domestic cup. In the league, Sigma are on third place which would ensure them a seat in the league the next season and are 9 points away from third place that would ensure an European Cup place when there are 5 rounds to go.

On Sunday Slavia will play at home to test their strength, and encouraged by the victory over Jablonec, with Usti Nad Labem. This will be a though game for them because after this league battle the domestic cup semi-finals will follow.

After a poor season and with a good spring performance Slavia escaped the red zone and find themselves now on 10th place. "We have our morale high after two good games. Usti won 2-0 with Jablonec so we don't expect this game to be easy. To succeed we have to make the same game as we did in the previous one" said coach Michael Petrous.

2nd from bottom Brno will host on Saturday the leader, Plzen. Brno fights for survival in the league while the guests willt ry to consolidate the first place.

The change of coach for Brno didn't help. Even under new coach Rene Wagner Brno lost all the games. "From the position in the table this game looks like David vs Goliath, but I firmly believe that we can get something out of this game. Plzen are definitely a little nrevous after the unsuccessful match against Slavia, which could be an advantage for us", says Wagner.

Duel of two teams, which at first sight, play for nothing.

Although Mlada Boleslav are still seeking a European Cup we think they will concentrate on the domestic cup where they will meet Kromeriz in the away leg. Even coach Karel Stanner admits Cup semi-final match is currently more important than the league match.

Hradec won four of the last five games. A week ago a win over Brno ensure they will not relegate and so their fans can enjoy the last games they have to play until the end of the championship without any pressure.

Pribram vs Jablonec (16:00 CET)

Jablonec are going today to Pribram to get all three points trying to bounce back from the last round surprise defeat with Usti. The home team plays for salvation so the three points will not be free.

If they want to win today Pribram will have to interrupt the continuing series of 399 minutes without a goal. "During this week we tried to act positively and inspire courage to the team. We believe that we didn't forget how to play football " says Pribram's assistant Francis which was set in charge of a team until they find a new head coach. He replaces Nádvorník.
