Czech Republic - Sparta Prague vs Slovan Liberec

Today it will be played the first game of the 27th round in Czech Gambrinus liga between Sparta and Liberec. Sparta still thinking about the 1st place while guests have no longer chance to get a European Cup place.

Sparta failed in the last round to take advantage of the hesitation of their biggest rival - Plzen. They had to settle with a draw at Teplice and are now 4 points away from the leader. "We are aware of the advantage of Plzen, but Sparta has always fought until the last moment and this season will not be an exception. If we want to revive our hopes we have to win with Liberec at home" said sports manager and coach of Sparta, Jozef Chovanec.

Sixth placed Liberec feel in great form winning all of their last four games. They want to build on their successful series today. "I don't care that we will have to mix a little bit the team today, everyone will want to play and score goals. We had a successful series and we want to extend it with Sparta but this is surely a greater challenge. We have nothing to fear in addition, our recent results were not accidental" said Liberec's coach.

The home team will be without injured GK Blzek while Liberec will have to do without midfielders Bosancice(15/3) and M. Zeman (2/0) defender Liska(6/0).

Sparta needs to win against in form Liberec, but odds are too low on them to be taken into consideration. Maybe a small bet on the handicap line could be taken into consideration
