Poland Ekstraklasa - Lech Poznan vs Legia Warszawa

Written by Betting-RSS admin on 16 April 2011.

The 22th round derby is undoubtedly the saturday match in Poznan, where the local Lech will take on Legia Warszawa. For both teams, it is extremely important this meeting. Its outcome may well decide the future of the coaches of those teams. Fans can expect a thrilling match.

Both teams started definitely disappointing this spring season. Both are focused now on winning the right games which will get them in European competitions. This can be done not only by addressing the top three places in the table, but also by the triumph in the Polish Cup. Closer to reaching the final is Legia.

Both clubs are aware that failure in the Cup could cost them dearly, and therefore are very serious about Saturday's old derby, that can bring them to take a serious step forward to a place in European competitions. Again the one in better situation is Legia, which ranks third in the table with three points more than Lech.

Taking into account the recent results of both teams, the favorite in Saturday's game is Lech Poznan. It seems, however, that any outcome is possible. It is true that coach Jose Mari Bakero from Lech should remain at the team until the end of the season, but the big question is will he remain in the club for next season? In turn, Matt Skor?a could lose his job even in case of failure in Pozna?.

Both teams have a rich history, but in recent years matches ended with the teams winning their home game. The hosts will not be able to field on Saturday the strongest team. Wo??kiewicz Hubert, Martin and Semir Stili? are suspended.

Legia's coach Matt Skor?a has at its disposal almost all the players. He will not be able to field only Rafal Wolski. Thomas Kie?bowicz and Takesure Chinyama are back in the team.

All points to a draw in this game and if we were to make a bet Legia +0.25 will be the one.
