On the first game in the 24th round of Ekstraklasa Legia Warsaw will take on Widzew Lodz at their home stadium. The hosts what at any price to break the dreadful streak thei are facing. This is not easy, because Widzew didn't lose in the recent weeks.

After 23 rounds Legia is in 7th place with three points behind third Lechia Gdansk. They still have good chances to take a place on the podium, but to do so, they must start winning. In the last six matches they won just one point, a disastrous result for the club. The job of Matt Skorza is also the polish cup finals with Lech Poznan, that will be played on next tuesday.

Lazienkowska Stadium in Warzaw is a very difficult venue for Widzew who won only 3 out of 30 games played. The last time they enjoyed victory was in 1997.

Legia's coach will not be able to use on Friday the service of midfielder I. Vrdoljak(21/5) and defender Inaki Astiz(16/0) who is suspended for yellow cards. Defender J. Rzezniczak(17/1) will get back in the team after being injured.

Widzew have more players out but despite Brazilian defender Dudu Paraiba(23/1) who is suspended none of the others are so important: defender Souheil Ben Radhia(11/0), midfielders Paul Grischok(13/0), Riku Riski(6/0) and Jurijs Zigajevs(3/0).

 

Our impression is that Legia still thinks at the cup and will not risk now everything to win this game. The handi line on Widzew looks good.
