Poland Cup - Lech Poznan vs Legia Warszaw
Game to be played @ 18:30 CET
Today in the stadium of Bydgoszczy we will find out who wins this season's Polish Cup. Lech Poznan will meet Legia Warszawa having of course as stake not only the tropy, but also the right to play in Europa League next season.
Both teams don't do very well in the league this season, despite both having the chance to take a European Cup place by placing themselves on the 3rd place but it is definitely more easy to win the Polish Cup to get there. Lech and Legia's players realize that the outcome of today's game could decide the future of many of them.
Legia done better in the game they had before this game, winning against Widzew with 1-0. Coach Maciej is very happy that his team managed their first league win in five meetings. It should be noted, however, that in the game the team didn't play so well and their game left a lot to be desired. Fans that gathered in the stands did not hide the disappointment and did not spare whistling in the direction of their team.
Even worse news come from Lech, who lost 0-1 at Zaglebie. Mari Bakero's team had the initiative in the first half, but in the second they have been pushed in defence by the rivals. The outcome of this was the goal of Zaglebie which was the only one in this game.
Both teams will not be able to play with the strongest team.
Lech is missing midfielders Marcina Kikut(20/0), Tomasza Badrowskiego(4/) and Kamila Drygas(4/0) but defender Manuel Arboleda(19/0) will play being rested with Zaglebie. We expect many changes in the initial 11 in comparison with the meeting at Lubin.
Legia has also problems with the team. Matt Skorza will have to do without forward Takesure Chinyama(10/0), midfielder Ivicy Vrdoljak(21/5), defenders Jakuba Rze?niczaka(17/1) and Dicksona Choto(9/0).
This game will be decided only by one goal in our opinion, but the possible outcome in 90 minutes remains the draw. Both teams not being in form and lots at stake here should make them look for opponent's mistake rather then using offensive from the start.
