Today they have lots of players missing from the first team: Constantin Budescu, Salif Nogo, Osvaldo Miranda, Paulinho Pestana are injured while Lucian Goian, Ousmane N’Doye and Marius Tigoianu are out suspended. Moreover leftback defender Junior Morais and forward Kehinde Fatai have medical problems with the first most probably playing today.
Unirea would want to make a good game being their last on their home stadium. The authorities have made an auction this week with the goods from the club because of a 6.5 million RON debt. The club will dissolve in the summer break. Unirea is the club with the fastest ascend in Liga 1 and ironically the fastest descent. The players are playing now just for fun, but they could score against Astra while Astra can score easily against a team with no interest.

Coach Cristian Pustai has declared that, until now, he hasn’t received any offers to renew his contract with Gaz Metan, adding that Medias remains his first option: “For the moment I don’t have any renewal offer from Gaz Metan. To remain here I first need to be wanted. Nevertheless, we have decided to have talks after the Steaua game. I have had some talks, not necessarily offers, but I have stipulated that my first option is Gaz Metan. Meanwhile, I can’t talk about a new contract if I am not offered one”, Pustai declared.
“Gazul remains my first option, have to see how we end the championship. Probably Friday night, after the CFR Cluj match, we’ll know more, since our main objective would be achieved mathematically with the 3 points, and we’ll talk after”, the coach added.
Asked if his players really want to qualify for Europa League, meaning that it would shorten their holidays, Pustai has declared: “I think everyone wants to qualify for Europa League, because for us it would be a great performance and I don’t think there’s a player from our team not wanting this to happen.”

Gonna be brief as I don't have much time to write the usual previews. Sportul is relegated already, everyone knows that. But the team has young players that like to play football and they usually do a great show on the pitch. They had some bad luck to be in this position in the end. Now, they need to get to 25 points to not be penalized in the 2nd league. They are now having 20 points with 3 rounds to go. They will have to play with Vaslui and Urziceni. With Vaslui it is though to think that they can win points. It remains for them to win this game and the one with Urziceni.
Why do I think this game could be one where they would win? Because:
1. they have full team available;
2. Brasov will play on Wednesday the 2nd leg of the Romanian Cup semifinal with Steaua Bucharest (1st leg ended 0-0) so they have a chance to get into the cup final. They don't have such a big team so coach Conceicao must rest some players for the Cup game.

Gaz Metan and Steaua will play an important game this round, both being very close in the league table, but here i have to give credit to Steaua. The most important news is that coach Cartu resigned and in his place it came Cosmin Olaroiu. He was coach of Steaua already in the past and it is the coach which had the best results in the past year with Steaua. Players love him so today they have the chance to show what they can do and that they deserve to be in the 1st 11. Yes, Steaua has a cup game on Wednesday but they have a large team and more players than Brasov so the rotation of the squad will not affect them as much as it will affect Brasov.
So important grow of morale for Steaua in my opinion. I think they will start fast and try to score 1 or 2 goals and hold of the result until the end.

Coach Viorel Hizo declared that he excludes the possibility of a draw between them and Timisoara, being convinced that the team from Vaslui deserves to win the match because they are the best team in Liga 1.
