Dorinel Munteanu declared that he doesn't need to take revenge on his former team, FC Vaslui, and that he wants to win this game for the fans: "Our objective and our position in the championship are over what happened between me and FC Vaslui, so there is no talking about a personal revenge in this game. I want badly to win this game for the team, fans, club, etc. My players think to make the same game as in the first part of the championship. I don't consider this as a decisive game, a point will be also good for us, but we don't prepare the game just for one point, we prepare to win. It's important every point because it is a game against a contender for the 1st place".

Manager Marius Stan declared that the moldavian team has many young players that are not aquainted with first place and they tend to lose their mind when they are on top.

After winning at Galati in the 89th minute they lost to Brasov with a goal scored in the same minute after a dissapointing performance. The team evidently played for a goalles draw in the game at Brasov. Otelul remained on the first place because Timisoara didn't managed to win against Steaua and they will try to consolidate the place by beating Vaslui. This game is important for Otelul because if they win, they will get rid of an adversary, coming up next the fight with Timisoara.

Coach Viorel Hizo hopes to get a victory in their match against Otelul Galati, because, in his opinion, the adversaries will perform under big pressure: "Pressure is big for Galati, because of that 4-0 from the first game, because they play at home, and evidentley because they lost already two games in the return round. We put great aith in this game because we are in good form. We hope our mechanism will run well against Galati."

Vaslui's player with most assists has no right to play in the next game. Midfielder Lucian Sinmartean recieved with Unirea the 4th yellow card and he doesn't have the right to play in the game with Galati. This season, Sinmartean has scored twice and had 8 assists.

Round 23 was perfect for Vaslui, because every rival lost their chance of winning their games (Timisoara draw with Steaua, Otelul lost at Brasov and Dinamo at Cluj). Hizo's team dominated all the game with Urziceni, managing a logical victory with the goals scored by Sanmartean and Adailton. They are at 5 points of Otelul and 4 points of Timisoara and would want to try to deliver a blow at Galati, to gain real chances in the fight for the title. This game is very important for Vaslui, because if they lose they can be out for the title fight. Then, they will play with Dinamo so they have to build the momentum.
