Without Bourceanu, Goga and Zicu, FC Timisoara didn't win with Steaua. The 33.000 fans that were in the stadium created a nice atmosphere. If they win the 3 points and Otelu stumbles with Vaslui , Timisoara could get the 1st place.

Coach Tibor Selymes declared that he hopes to be responsable for the first defeat of Timisoara form the actual season: "It is true that we have the 2nd chance at Timisoara, but we are in form. We didn't lose a gme this year, and the boys trained well in the last days. I don't do gambling, but if I did I would bet on Astra because the odds are high at all the bookmakers. I feel we will win, i don't even think that we can lose this game!"

Astra won with 2-0 over Victoria Branesti. The game actually started with 1-0, a goal that Astra scored in the first minute after which they played defensevly, without risking, accepting domination. Astra was also lucky because Branesti had big chances to score.
