Marian Pana admitted at the end of last game lost 5-0 with Steaua that he wasn't interested in the result, for him, the main target being this game on home turf with Otelul, the team that is in front of the championship and fights, at least theoreticaly, with Steaua for the title, even if there are lots of points between them: "We didn't think that we could get at least a draw in Ghencea. I wasn't interested in the game with Steaua, important is the game at home against Otelul, that's why i have rested some players". Only 4 players from the normal 1st eleven played with Steaua. "I rested Apostul and Paduretu, they had 3 yellow cards and could risk suspension. First was injured at the back, the second one had family problems. I gave the chance to some youngsters, but they dissapointed me. We will see now in the game with Otelul if we sacrificed for a good reason this game. I really think that we can win with Otelul", explained Pana.

At Urziceni is total chaos, times when Unirea was on top, then beating Rangers and Sevilla are long gone. General manager Marius Stan declared that it is lots of pressure at Otelul and it is normal when you are up top. "If you don't want to have pressure stay at the middle of the championship and no one will bother you. It is normal that everyone has as objective to make us lose the 1st place. We protect ourselves by not making anyone's games"
