Technician Gheorghe Multescu said he would be satisfied with a draw in the match against Timisoara:”I expect points from every game, but in this game if we don’t get one it would be so bad. In this kind of games whenever you get half of chance you have to score. Timisoara has players who cand decide off the top of their heads how to play, players like Zicu, Magera, Axente. I am not afraid of is game but I can’t help myself not worying about Zicu.”

The technician would not say no to a bonus from the rivals of his opponents:”we have to play to win. When one of my mentors, Stefan Covaci was alive, he told us that a player has to play for money, glory, women, for something, when you play to lose something is wrong. The assumptions of Steaua being involved once again in dirty games are increasing, after the owner announced yesterday that Sportul will be awarded for favorable result against Timisoara. Financial problems might split up Sportul. Unpaid for a couple of months, Raul Ciupe has also deposed his memorium in order to become a free player. He is the fourth player that did this after Cazan, Postolache and Tibi Balan. The first two were declared free player, but Sportul has made an appeal and is still waiting for a response and Tibi Balan’s complaint will be analised od Tuesday.

Yuksel Yesilova will be the new second coach of Sportul starting tomorrow. The coach was on the brink of death last year after his brother attacked him with a knife during a game in Turkey. His move to Regie is in tight connection with his relationship with Gheorghe Multescu, the present technical manager of the „students”, with whom he already worked not only at Sportul but also at Poli and Ceahlau.

Sportul Studentesc managed to get an equal score in the last minute, at Chiajna, with Victoria Branesti, thanks to the goal scored by Ferfelea. However this point does not do much for the team from Regie, but it boosts the players confidence. If owner Siman had been inspired enough to get Multescu sooner at the team, Sportul would have definetly ranked higher in the top. Theoretically, Sportul still has some chances for avoiding relegation as they are only 12 points behind the team on the 14th place;practicaly it is quite hard to believe that such a thing could happen. For now „the students” have to think about fulfilling the 25 points standard and they have to try winning a few matches in order to get some new offers for the First League in the summer. Sportul has nothing to lose in tomorrow’s game with Timisoara, a team which needs the victory in order to move to the first place in the charts, therefor there will be no presure on the players. In the first part of the championship, Sportul lost to Bega with a score of 1-2 and now it will try to take its revenge and deliver the surprise of the 25th stage.

Coach Dusan Jr. declared that Sportul is in a good shape lately, but Timisoara is favorite in the direct game:”it’s just our luck to face teams which are just recovering but I am sure that we are ready for this game and we are driven by the desire to win. We know there is a new tough game,in a difficult time, but i believe that we are focused on obtaining the victory. Sportul has started to play well, but this doesn’t mean that we should address this game differently from the ones till now, we have to win all the time. They have two forwards very good, Curelea has scored impressive goals and we will have to be carefull with him and Tibi Balan who was one of our players. Against Sportul we are the favorites and we have to win.”

Uhrin prefers not to talk about winning the title, even if his team is just one point away from the first position:” we are now playing for winning games, for gaining a better position, but there are still 30 more points to win. I haven’t thought if a team is better than other, I have to focus on our team. If i think what others will do, I could miss something and I don;t want that. For sure it will be an interesting championship.

Poli will have to do in the next two rounds without their captain, Dan Alexa being suspended. The team will suffer modifications due to the list of injured or suspended players. Goga is uncertain, Sepsi just left to Germany to treat his right leg, Magera is uncertain because of some infiltration as his leg, Curtean is at Bucharest for medical investigations at his right knee, Mansour will go to Roma to treat his right knee also, Ricketts needs to stay another 5 days on the bench and Alexa and Cisovsky are suspended.

FC Timisoara missed the chance of being on 1st place after they drew home, with Astra Ploiesti. They need to wake up in this game. Owner Marian Iancu asked the players to make everything possible to win all the points with Sportul and Pandurii. Players of Timisoara will recieve lots of money if they win the championship, so with this in mind we are up for a nice game.

Betting RSS: FC Timisoara needs to win this game as Otelul won with Urziceni today. We don't think that a surprise is possible because Sportul in my eyes and everyone's else is already relegated.
