Romania - Liga 1 - Victoria Branesti vs Rapid Bucuresti
Victoria Branesti
Coach Ilie Stan is dissapointed after his team lost the game with Pandurii: "What can i say after this 2-4? We were robbed by the referees, but it doesn't matter now, we are left with the loss. We cannot get back 8 points. It seems that a village like Branesti doesn't have what it takes to be in Liga 1. I saw that lately all the referees are making deciesons against us. Now it comes tha game with Rapid, a team that found its form. We will try to save this season. That 1-7 from the home game is history, no game is the same with another and in football there are surprises when you least expect it".
Stan mentioned that it is unprobable that Victoria Branesti will stay in Liga 1. He doesn't have team problems before this game. In the first 11 it will be back left midfielder R. Avram who was suspended in the game with Pandurii. The only problem is the tactics: weather to play offensive with Todoran and Oprea, or to play deffensivley hoping for a goalles draw or a goal on counters.
Probable team: Stoicescu - Maghici, Sg.Bar, Marincau, E.Nicola - Novac, D.Popa, Olariu, R.Avram - Todoran, C.Coman; Coach: Ilie Stan; Injured: Velicu, B.Oprea, Fl.Petre; Suspended: -; Backups: Savu, Straut, Vasilescu, Simion, Calintaru, Lorincz, Zuluf

Victoria Branesti made a very bad game with Turnu-Severin in the game with Pandurii, losing clearly 4-2. They woken up too late in stoppage time and score 2 goals. Ilie Stan's team is with a leg in Liga 2, being 8 points away from the salvation. To still hope they can excape relegation, Victoria is obliged to win with Rapid.
Rapid Bucuresti
Rapid will want to obtain their objective fast, and after Sumudica's estimations his team will obtain 2 wins in the next 2 rounds, then, his team is almost qualified for a place in Europe: "If we win 6 points in the next two games, i think that we will almost reach our objective."
Goal keeper Mircea Bornescu declared that the players have no excuse for not obtaining the win with Universitatea Craiova game wich ended with a goalles draw. He said that Craiova played well, but they were defending all the time. "We dominated from the start till the end but we couldn't score". He believes that a coming back of Costin Lazar will be benefic for the team: "It will be nice if Lazar will come back, we need a valuable player like him" (Lazar was suspended for cursing the coach and having a big argument with him)
George Copos decided that midfielder Costin Lazar will rejoin the 1st team being one of the best midfielders from Romania.
Probable team: Bornescu - Rui Duarte, Marcos Antonio, Glauber, Bozovic - Roman, Spadacio, C.Lazar, Cesinha - Sburlea, Herea; Coach: Marius Sumudica; Injured: Cassio, Vidanov, D.Coman; Suspended: -; Backups: Straton, Olberdam, Ezequias, Pancu, Candido, Grigorie, Frunza, N.Grigore
Even if Rapid will play in a European Cup, chances that Sumudica will continue with Rapid are slim. Why? Because the 40 years old coach recieved an interesting proposal. Sumudica is wanted in Asia to coach the national team of India, where he would leave after this season ends. The indians will offer him a contract of 400.000 Euro/year, almost 4 times as more than he wins at Rapid!

Rapid dissapointed one more time its fans, being unable to win at home with Craiova. The team from Giulesti clearly dominated the game, but had bad luck to stumble upon a gk like Silviu Lung Jr. having a great day. But the point had some value as rivals Steaua and Dinamo lost their game. Yesterday, Dinamo won with Urziceni so Rapid needs to win with Branesti having in mind that the next opponent will be Timisoara.
