Coach Alin Minteuan declared that his team is in the position to dictate who wins or not the championship. He wants CFR Cluj to finish the season with the head held up high. "We will be some kind of a referee to this championship. We hoped to be higher in the rankings, but unfortunatley it wasn't so. We respect Otelul, but they are not favourites in the game with us. As expected, CFR didn't have problems in the game with Urziceni, winning with 3-1. With this win, CFR began to hope they can save the season, hoping to try to win the maximum points and get a place in Europa League. They can go to Europa League from 6th place with the condition that Dinamo or Steaua to win the Romanian Cup. If they win with Otelul and Steaua wins with Rapid, they will be at 2p from the 6th place. So the objective is clear: 3p with Otelul.

Although Otelul lost with Gaz after having a missed penalty in the 93rd minute, coach Dorinel Munteanu said that he is not angry with his players and encourages them to get past this bad moment: "I hope the players got over this bad moment. I told them that it doesn't help if they think what happened in the last game. We are all affected, Gabriel Viglianti being the most affected of the lot. But you will see that he will take revenge. I am not angry with him. Why should I be? Anyone could have missed a penalty, it is about bad luck. We still have 5 rounds to show everyone that we are the best. Otelul Galati had bad luck in the end of the game with Gaz Metan, finishing with a draw, 2-2. Yesterday both FC Vaslui and Timisoar won their games so Otelul is now 4p away from the 1st place.
