Formula 1 Italian GP - Monza 2011 Preview
Monza circuit data
• Length of lap: 5.793km
• Lap record: 1:21.046 (Rubens Barrichello, Ferrari, 2004)
• Start line/finish line offset: 0.309km
• Total number of race laps: 53
• Total race distance: 306.720km
• Pitlane speed limits: 60km/h during practice and 100km/h during qualifying and race
Changes to circuit sonce 2010
• The length of kerbing has been altered to prevent cars leaping across them. There are no other major changes.
As the FIA plans to introduce two independent DRS zones at Monza this weekend, Jenson Button is among those predicting that the Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander d'Italia 2011 is going to be a spectacular race. There may even be a return to the slipstreaming battles of yesteryear.
2009 world champion Button came so close to winning for McLaren last year, and finished a valiant second to Fernando Alonso who cemented his status within Ferrari by taking victory for the Scuderia on home ground. The Spaniard will be desperate to win again in an effort to reduce Sebastian Vettel’s runaway lead in the world championship for Red Bull.

Formula 1 - Race Payment Picks
Note: The picks were sent yesterday to our payment picks subscribers. The lines and odds might have changed.
Rubens Barrichello vs Kamui Kobayashi 2 @ 2.00 with Pinnaclesport
Barichello is terrible these days. He also has some bad luck and the team doesn't help him at all. I don't see him resist more in F1 if this season goes like this. In all the past races Koba was faster, so we have here value in the odds even if the track doesn't suit overtakes.
Under 17.5 @ 2.20 with Gamebookers
The number of cars classified in Monaco over the long history is around 15 so Under 17.5 is a must take. There are many drivers who would like to give everything but fail in the end because this is one of the most difficult tracks.
Under 0.5 @ 2.30 with Bwin
Based also on statistics, this bet is value for us. In the past 3 years there has not been an incident in the first lap. Maybe drivers are careful because in Monte Carlo if you hit something in the first lap the hole pack behind you can get involved in the accident as seen many times in the past.
Formula 1 - Spain GP Qualifications Results

My bets were:
Michael Schumacher vs Nick Heidfeld 1 @ 1.63 with Pinnaclesport VOID - Nick Heidfeld's car caught fire in the morning practice and was not repaired yet.
Fernando Alonso vs Jason Button 1 @ 2.03 with Pinnaclesport WON
Mark Webber aced Red Bull team mate Sebastian Vettel for the first time in a 2011 qualifying session, to take his first pole position of the season in Spain on Saturday. Vettel’s sole run in Q3 - done without KERS - yielded him a fastest-of-the-weekend 1m 21.181s, undercutting the 1m 21.961s and 1m 21.996s laps of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, but then Webber slipped in his masterpiece - with KERS - to take the top slot with 1m 20.981s.
Subsequently, Fernando Alonso squeezed his Ferrari between the McLarens, with 1m 21.964s, only three-thousandths off Hamilton.
Vitaly Petrov jumped up to sixth with 1m 22.471s for Renault, ahead of Nico Rosberg who only managed 1m 22.599s for Mercedes. Ferrari’s Felipe Massa was eighth on 1m 22.888s, and Pastor Maldonado gave Williams a lot to smile about with a strong 1m 22.952s for ninth.
Formula 1 - Qualies and Race Payment Picks
NOTE: These are the picks that we sent yesterday to our payment picks subscribers. The odds might and will not be the same today.
Michael Schumacher vs Nick Heidfeld 1 @ 1.63 with Pinnaclesport
Old Schumacher is finally having a competitive car, a car that is better than Heidfeld's Renault, at least for now. Since the upgrades, he always got in front of Heidfeld in qualies, so it is well expected he will do it again tomorrow.
Fernando Alonso vs Jason Button 1 @ 2.03 with Pinnaclesport
New parts for Ferrari for this race and Alonso is positive about them. In practice they have gathered lots of data and tomorrow we should see the improvements made. “We tried a lot of new things today, and now we must extrapolate the information from all this work and select the best parts to put on the car for tomorrow,” reported home hero Alonso. “My first impression is favourable – I think we have made a step forward and I think the chances of fighting for a podium finish are even more likely here than they were in Turkey. We still have to work on the set-up; today, we had too many things to test and we did not have time to make too many changes.
He is at home, you know that is another big motivational factor.
And an early race bet:
Yes @ 1.85 with Bwin
Since the existence of Spanish GP only in one race there was another winner than the driver that won the pole. Why is that? Because after Monaco this is the 2nd most difficult track to overtake another driver. Just to make an idea:
The fundamental impediment to overtaking at the Circuit de Catalunya is that the 880m main straight is preceded by the fast Turn 16. It is a corner through which it is hard to follow another car closely and, when performance differentials between are small, this makes overtaking extremely difficult. Furthermore, teams have normally been testing at Barcelona and have optimised the car and tyre usage, which usually gives less variation in performance and strategy than normal.
The raw statistics are as follows: 2008, 11 moves; 2009, three moves; 2010, 10 moves. However, the total from 2008 includes passes made because of damage or mistakes, while the 2010 number includes passes by faster cars on a car from the bottom three teams. The number of ‘normal’ overtaking manoeuvres was: 2008, two; 2009, three; 2010, two.

The Formula Ones teams are gathering in Spain amid excitement that the combination of KERS, DRS and Pirelli’s tyres will provide an unusual level of overtaking at the Montmelo circuit, which in the past has generated low-key races with relatively little passing.
McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh is just one who believes that the race will confirm how successful the 2011 technical rule changes have been. Add a comment
Formula 1 - Turkish GP Results
The only problem Sebastian Vettel had on his four-stopping way to victory number three of 2011 in Turkey on Sunday afternoon came as he went into the 57th and penultimate lap and had to lap the duelling Sergio Perez and Adrian Sutil in the last corner. Otherwise, he made it look easy, leading virtually throughout after making a great start.
Making it another great day for Red Bull - and a very different result to 2010’s here - Mark Webber brought his RB7 home second after passing Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari on the 51st lap. Both also stopped four times for fresh Pirellis.
Lewis Hamilton made a strong start but got hung out to dry after running wide and dropping from fourth to sixth, and thereafter McLaren switched him from a three-stop strategy to ‘Plan B’, four stops. Team mate Jenson Button stayed on three, and was running fourth by lap 48, but Hamilton overtook him with ease on his fresher rubber on lap 49, and five laps later Nico Rosberg followed suit to claim fifth for Mercedes.
Formula 1 - Turkish GP Qualification
Sebastian Vettel’s best lap of 1m 25.049s on his first run in Q3 was so dominant that he didn’t need to make a second, yet still kept pole position. But if that wasn’t a gamble by Red Bull, keeping second-fastest Mark Webber in the garage was a little bit edgier, as the Mercedes, McLarens, Renaults and a lone Ferrari went out to challenge his 1m 25.454s best.
In the end, Nico Rosberg’s 1m 25.574s came closest for Mercedes and dislodged Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren from third place, even though the Briton improved from 1m 25.618s to 1m 25.595s. Behind them, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso failed to improve on 1m 25.851s and will line up fifth, with McLaren's Jenson Button alongside him on the strength of his first-run time of 1m 25.982s.
Formula 1 - Turkey Practice Session 1
As you already know we send Formula 1 Picks to the Payment Picks Section subscribers. We had one today for the practice sesion which made a whooping 10 units profit. We took profit of the fact that bookmakers are always underestimating this sport and don't think too much when they post the lines for the bets. Hope they will not wake up too soon. :)
You can also recieve the payment picks which has a very good record for Formula 1 picks by subscribing using the menu on the right. Also I advice you too read this post before you do it. The records for this month are also on the right sidebar. Below you have what happened in the first practice session. Enjoy your reading.
The rain made Friday morning’s first practice session in Turkey something of a lottery, and as Fernando Alonso dominated it by 1.4s ahead of the Mercedes duo Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher, world champion Sebastian Vettel returned to the pits on foot after heavily shunting his Red Bull on the exit to the infamous Turn Eight.

BettingRSS has already sent Formula 1 Picks to their Payment Section Subscribers. We found some good value bets this weekend. It really seems that bookmakers are not taking this sport seriously as we see they skip some important news and facts/statistics in making their odds. Remember that last season we had an hooping 45% Yield on Formula 1.

Strictly speaking, the Turkish Grand Prix does not kick off the European season since the undulating 5.338-kilometre Istanbul Park Circuit lies on the Asian side of the Bosphorus, but the fourth round of the FIA Formula One World Championship signals the return from the ‘flyaway’ races and is the prelude to the European leg.
Last year’s race saw the controversial clash between Red Bull racers Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel launch the balloon of tension within the camp, and Lewis Hamilton win for the first time in 2010 after an equally intense fight with twice-winning team mate Jenson Button.
After China, the Red Bulls and the McLarens start as favourites once more, the former confident their KERS issues have now been solved and the latter sure that the system could play a critical role in Istanbul.

Formula 1 - Renault KERS problem fixed
Important news for us, punters, ahed of Turkish GP. Renault are already faster then the other teams but with the KERS problem fixed they should fly in Turkey.
Red Bull has fixed its KERS problems ahead of this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix, according to the team's consultant Helmut Marko.
The championship leaders have struggled with the technology so far this year, with Mark Webber yet to have a trouble-free weekend. After the Chinese Grand Prix Red Bull vowed to get to the bottom of the issues, which were believed to be related to overheating, and Marko insists it is now fixed.
"Our KERS system is fine, over the Easter break we have made some modifications," he told the German newspaper Bild. "It is much better now. It works."
