Kamke Tobias (GER) vs. Kavcic Blaz (SLO)
They met in Barcelona last week in first round and Kavcic imposed in two sets but that doesn’t explain the low odds on Slovenian. The match was tighter then odds indicate now, the German managed to make a break. The difference on court was made by serve as Kavcic served better through out the match while Kamke had a poor second serve. Both players have clean shots from both wings and can play some aggressive tennis during the match, both have a solid serve and both are quick baseliners with the German being more instinctive player from the baseline, the surface is also on fast side and the player who once more will be decisive on serve will have the upper hand. Kavcic is favorite mainly because of his recent win over the German but we see a tighter one.

Zverev Michael (GER) vs. Sela Dudi (ISR)
The Israeli Dudi Sela starts his clay campaign against German Michael Zverev. Sela isn’t a player who likes clay, his last win on European clay is back in 2009. But neither the German is on his favorite surface but overall Zverev plays

more on the ground and had some success, when he is in form can be a tricky player even on this surface. The German played recently as a lucky loser in Barcelona and made a good match against Ferrero, he managed partially to contest the Spaniard. Sela’s serve will be negate by the surface and his sideways movement is questionable on this surface, Zverev has overall the better serve and played recently on the surface, he can remain solid in some rallies but also likes to advance to the net. Neither is trustable player recently but we see Zverev as the likely winner against a player who is in poor form on clay.

Nishikori Kei (JPN) vs. Tipsarevic Janko (SRB)
Janko Tipsarevic and Kei Nishikori will be going head-to-head for the third time, all meetings this year and all with the same results, 6-4 for the Serb. Tipsarevic didn’t played since Monte Carlo where he lost to Feliciano Lopez while the Japanese played more on the surface recently reaching the third round in Barcelona. The conditions are on fast side which helps Tipsarevic, with his powerful serve and ground strokes will push Nishikori way behind the baseline but also the Japanese has more time to set to the ball and he showed good skills for clay maneuvering well on court and creating good angles. Tipsarevic is playing at home and is from a couple of days here and he should be the likely winner in this one.
