Gael Monfils vs. Roger Federer

Frenchman Gael Monfils managed to win against Spaniard David Ferrer after two days of tennis. He started very aggressive and he even should win the first set much easily and since then Monfils controlled the match in mental aspect. Even that the Frenchman flattered during the match, if his serve didn’t entered he was in real trouble as his second serve was very attackable, he made a solid match controlling the exchanges. Also Federer is coming after a good match against Wawrinka and this match looks trickier then odds indicate.

Monfils has a chance as long he will serve decisive, he will retrieve well and will force the Swiss in long rallies, they met twice in Roland Garros over the years and both are won by Monfils.

Not an easy match but overall the Swiss looks in good form but also the Frenchman showed some smart tennis and put a lot of desire on court.
