Rafael Nadal top seed in men's singles at Wimbledon 2011
Rafael Nadal has won the last 2 Wimbledon draws that he has participated in and he is the top seed at this year's event as he goes for his third title at the All England Club.
Nadal is the world number one and reigning champion at Wimbledon, so it is no surprise to see the Spaniard listed as the top seed, while Novak Djokovic is fully deserving of his position at the top of the bottom half of the draw. The Serb has lost just once all year, winning every Masters event and the Australian Open in 2011. Six times Wimbledon winner Roger Federer is the third seed and is, therefore, scheduled to meet Djokovic in the semi finals, with Murray making up the top four. The British number one will play Nadal, should he reach the final four.Andy Roddick, who was a beaten finalist at SW19 in 2003, 2004 and 2009, is the eighth seed, despite having a world ranking of ten, while Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who lost to Murray in the final at Queen's Club last week, also benefits from a higher position in the draw. Tsonga is world number 19 but seed twelfth at Wimbledon.
