US Open men's final to be played on Monday

For fourth year in a row, US Open men's final will be played on Monday.

The U.S. Tennis Association announced new tournament schedule on Thursday and moved men's final from Sunday slot to Monday.

As per the new schedule, the remaining men's quarterfinal matches will be played on Friday. On Saturday, all four semifnals i.e both men's and women's semis will be played.

Sunday will have women's final and on Monday, the men's final will be played.

Tournament director Jim Curley said the schedule was changed in an effort to be fair to the players and to the ticketholders.
