Well, the fifteenth ranked Petkovic is playing in her second consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinal, while Maria Sharapova will be playing in the quarterfinals of a Major, first time in 2 years. There is a lot to play for these two highly talented contenders and we can expect an enthralling contest.

Maria Sharapova faces a tough quarter-final match at Roland Garros on Wednesday against Andrea Petkovic.

Maria Sharapova continues to make good progress here at Roland Garros, and managed to outline her title credentials with a 7-6, 7-5 victory over twelfth seed Agnieszka Radwanska in the fourth round. The Russian has only lost one set in this competition, and looks set to consolidate her position in the top ten. Sharapova’s next opponent will be fifteenth seed Andrea Petkovic. Petkovic has been involved in some close matches here, but remains a threat for as long as she’s in the tournament. The German has been very impressive this season, and has the ability to give the former world No. 1 a serious test on Wednesday.

Heading into this match, Sharapova has a 2-1 match record against Petkovic. All of the matches between the pairing have been on hard courts though, so these past results might not be the best indicator of what to expect on this occasion. It seems like Petkovic is considered to be the underdog, but it should be noted that she beat Sharapova in this year’s Australian Open. It looks like this contest could be a thriller.

Na Li vs. Victoria Azarenka

Today i think Na Li can continue her’s good form and she can win this math and go in the semifinals.

However, Azarenka is just as determined to make it to the end here in Paris and as such we’ll be expecting an interesting quarterfinal match between Li Na and Victoria Azarenka.
