Five time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams is confident of making a winning return to the green grass of Eastbourne at the WTA premier event starting this week.

"Whoever is across the net is my focus at that point. You can't predict who is going to do what... My sole concern is to make sure I'm in the next round," said a confident WIlliams during the press meet. Williams faces in-form German Andrea Petkovic in the first round on Monday, the woman who handed WIlliams her last defeat before going into the injury hiatus at the Australian Open third round.

About her time off court during the injury hiatus, Venus reflected: "After I got injured in January I made the best use of my time when I was off. I entered school, took some classes and worked on my businesses. I also went to the gym and tried to do my rehab. Initially my goal was to play in Miami but that wasn't even close... It took me a good two and a half months to build up to get here now."

Among the current crop of active players, Venus Williams has the most WTA singles titles wins - 43, two more than Belgian Kim Clijsters who comes a close second at 41, followed by Serena Williams with 37 titles, 13 of which are Grand Slam triumphs.
