Azarenka pulls out of Cincinnati Open
World number 3 Victoria Azarenka pulled out of the Cincinnati Open on due to a strain in hand.
Third seeded Victoria Azarenka has withdrawn from the Cincinnati Open due to a right hand strain.
The Belarusian announced her withdrawl shortly before she was scheduled to play against Shahar Peer of Israel. She was replaced by lucky loser Pauline Parmentier in the draw.
Earlier in the day, last week Rogers Cup champion Serena Williams also pulled out of the tournament because of a toe injury.
